Disappointed Minnieland Mother

A Disappointed Minnieland Mother

If you have another option than Minnieland, take the other option!!!

As long as you have an angel as a child - your child might be fine, but if there are any issues (even as normal behavior for toddlers like hitting) they will not work with you.

Even though your child will spend probably more than 8 hours, 5 days a week there, they leave it up to the parents to correct this. They give you no support, no nothing!!!

We were so awfully disappointed, but I guess with a Director of the school in her mid-twenties comparing to small children that they are just like dogs, what more can you expect???

The Corporate Office sucks just as bad as the actual school if you reach out for professional support!

Go somewhere else!!!! Your child will be better off!!!!

Minnieland is Horrible
by: Anonymous

If you piss off the director she will find ways to get rid of your child.

This is our experience with Minnieland. It is not a good place to take your children.

Mine was threatened to have soap put in his mouth.

The Director acted like a fool and never responded to me as a parent when I told her about the incident...and still lies to this day that I never approached her. Incompetent folks.

And they wont work with your kids.

Dear Disappointed Minnieland Mother,

I am surprised to hear of your negative experience at Minnieland.

We've had nothing but great experiences with the academic program, their pre-school and after school care and their summer camp program.

However, a single experience such as yours would definitely have us thinking twice about the personnel they hire to supervise and educate very young children or children of any age for that matter.

It takes a certain personality to work with young children. Not everyone possesses it and a degree in Education or even a full course of specialized training cannot instill it in someone.

It comes naturally and sadly, we have come across quite a few teachers in other educational settings and at all age levels - who totally lack that gift.

Considering the fact that both Minnieland teachers and managers receive specialized training, it is difficult to imagine that the person in charge would display such a poor attitude.

Among the training topics are parental communication, positive guidance, and conflict resolution.

Let's hope this is not standard operating procedure, as it surely will reflect poorly on their otherwise great reputation in the Woodbridge, Virginia area.
