Although we claim no players in our family, we do watch the game just to marvel at the skill set of the pro players who make this sport look so easy. The beautiful landscaping of world-renowned courses like Pinehurst, Augusta National, and the Blue Monster at Doral make for fine viewing as well. Let's not forget that here in Woodbridge, Virginia, we are within a short driving distance of many superior municipal and private courses such as: Langston, Burning Tree, and Bethesda, Congressional, Chevy Chase, Rock Creek and the various courses at the Ft. Belvoir and at Andrews AFB Why is this sport so popular? It combines the opportunity to be outdoors with physical activity and a complete body workout, where play can involve both friends and business colleagues, and where, in a very relaxed environment, you can participate and play in a game where perfection is nearly impossible. In fact, the game itself changes every time you play. With time, your scorecard serves a testament to your improved skills and this alone is motivation to go golfing as often as the weather permits. We are lucky enough to have two beautiful, premier courses: Old Hickory Golf Club The Ospreys at Belmont Bay We also have the private The Montclair Country Club, with it's 18 hole championship course and a challenging 9-hole course better suited for novices or maybe a quick game - The Lake Ridge Park Course - which is part of the PWC Park Authority. Drive a few miles south on I-95 and you a have a PWC Park Authority, 4 star championship course...Forest Greens at 4500 Poa Annua Lane, Triangle, VA 22172. Take Exit 150B. The course is about 1/2 mile on your left. Just a few short miles west from Woodbridge, you have the Bull Run Country Club course and the General's Ridge Course in Manassas Park. In Bristow, there is the Bristow Manor Club and in nearby Gainesville, we also have Stonewall. Time to tee up and play golf in Prince William County!
