Let's face it…we live in an increasingly fast-paced world and our professional careers, the nerve racking daily commute, and overall responsibilities, all contribute enormously to stress. As a result, we need to find time to relax and participate in organized athletic activities that provide exercise, recreation and a way to relieve the built up stress. Join your neighborhood recreation center and enroll in your favorite activity. Convince a friend to join a class with you. Join groups and participate in activities through your local organizations. You can opt to participate as a spectator - we have "armchair quarterbacks" and "wannabe linebackers" in our house - as a participant in intramural events at the high school, college or university level, as a hobby for pure recreation or as a pro. Team athletics and recreational activities you may be interested in include: Softball, baseball, and basketball, and soccer for kids of all ages from toddlers to teens and adults too... Racquetball, handball, and table tennis provide great exercise. You can also join a bowling league! Individual athletic activities include: " Golf, tennis, and running, Aerobic dance, gymnastics, jazz and tap dancing Consider hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, and weight training. Fishing is an all time family favorite! In Woodbridge, Virginia you the ability to participate in many different sporting activities, either as a participant or as a coach, right here in town or nearby. So whether you play as an individual or as a team member, you know what they say - just do it!
