Although gyros sandwiches are typically associated with Greek food, they are (from personal experience) the staple "fast food" of the Middle East.

Gyros come in as many variations as there are countries in that part of the world!

The best tasting are made with lamb, chicken and beef but you will find some made with pork and lamb which are out of this world tasty!

Regardless of the grilled meat combo, the rest of the sandwich makings also create endless variations on the classic version.

No need to travel to Greece or the Middle East to experience the flavors of the region.

Head to the Petra Grill at #443, in the Food Court at Potomac Mills Mall for some of the best tasting gyros in the neighborhood - and grab a plate of dolmades while you are it.

Pictured below is their carry-out Gyro Platter with pilaf, a salad covered with feta cheese, the yogurt sauce and a side order of dolmades...which by the way are some of the best tasting I've had in a looong time!
